Hi, I'm Tommy
I was raised in the church.
About Me
I am an ex football player. I played on three levels highschool, college, and semi -pro. I am now a web master and creator. I enjoy fishing and hiking with my two dogs which are both rescues. My favorite card game is canasta!!
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the church. My mother was also born into the church and later my father converted. I have known throughout my life this is the true church for many reasons. The most simple to explain is everything makes sense to me. No matter how far i fell away from the church I never denied my faith, I just stopped following the teachings. A big testimony and spiritual booster for me as a teen was youth conference, and as an adult many times its general conference. I feel protected when i say my daily prayers and read my scriptures and a lack of strength when i dont each morning. Ive also had personal revelation and have been blessed greatly. I enjoy the service i get to give in the church the most.
Personal Stories
How has attending Church services helped you?
I was once stray from the gospel. Involved in many wrongful and unlawful acts, that left my family in despair and me incarcirated. I left that life behind and started attending church regularly. My heart was put to ease, my head cleared, my spirit uplifted. It was what I was missing. I started to put on the lords armor slowly. Attending church, taking a calling, and doing my home teaching. I get to renew my covenants with the Lord each Sunday as I partake of the sacrament. What a blessing to be a member of the Lords church.
How I live my faith
I have recently been called to be a ward missionary. I never when on a typical 2 year away from home missionary calling for personal reasons, but now i get to serve one on a local community based effort. I knew I was gonna get this calling. I also get to teach class every 2nd Sunday in church. I enjoy preparing lessons and learning as well as teaching. Service projects are very fun and recently it involved painting a pumpkin on a large rock.
