Hi, I'm --jeff *
i'm from nothern minnesota. i used to work on movies. now i make animations. and i'm a mormon.
About Me
i'm a film enthusiast. i love old movies and foreign films. for several years, i worked in the film industry, usually on camera crews. i also love photography. and snowboarding, which i don't get to do very often, now that i'm at grad school in texas. but i'm learning computer animation and working towards a job at pixar one day.
i've eater waffles in belgium, ridden an elephant in thailand, and really kind of want to go to antarctica one day. i prefer cats to dogs, dark chocolate to milk chocolate, and hope that hats from the forties will come back in style some day.
Why I am a Mormon
i grew up in the mormon church, but that isn't why i'm a mormon now. some people have "a moment" where they came to know that the church was true for themselves. i don't have one moment like that. rather, there are hundreds of little moments for me, times when i have felt something i can't even quite describe, a little bit of warmth or a small feeling of peace that reaffirm, yes, this is right. this is true. this is it. all of those moments together form an ever-growing foundation that i know this church is true.
How I live my faith
i try to live it everyday, hopefully through my example. : ) and i don't think you need to be boring or stoic to live a righteous life.
i love to teach sunday school. i love it! i try to study the bible and the book of mormon every day, even if that means reading it on my phone on the bus. i get excited about it (especially the old testament! so many cool stories in there...) and being in front of a class and talking about how these stories relate to us today and how they can bring us closer to God is one of my favorite things to do.
