About Me

I am a new wife, married in Dec 2010, and I love my husband more than anything. I love working with my little ones in Sunbeams and also in kindergarten at a local elementary school. I love helping people and meeting new friends. My husband and I enjoy watching movies together, cooking together (although he's the cook and I'm mostly the baker), and just spending time together. We recently found out that we are expecting our first child in June 2012! And we couldn't be more excited about it!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I have always loved the Gospel. I can also say that I have still had to convert myself even after being in it for all my life. Everyone needs to have a conversion to the Gospel regardless of membership date. I have always felt so much love from my Heavenly Father, and I will never give that up for as long as I live and beyond that. I want everyone to feel that love and peace that comes from knowing the truth.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be loving and kind to others, pray to my Father in Heaven every night for strength and comfort when needed. I attend my meetings every Sunday and love teaching the little ones every week too.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Absolutely! I do not believe that God would've wanted us to only be with our families for this short life we have here on Earth. He loves us so completely that He's given us this wonderful chance to be sealed to our families forever and ever. I personally think it's one of the most beautiful and powerful pieces of the Gospel and His plan for us.

This is more than just instinct. We are indeed eternal beings whose origin is before the creation of the earth. And one of the things we come to earth to do is to find a companion, not only for this mortal existence, but for eternity as well. God has provided the place, the Temple of the Lord, and the authority, the power to seal things on earth and in heaven. So that eternal relationships can be established here and enjoyed after this life is done. Do I believe it? I feel certain that these principles are true. The Holy Ghost confirms that to my spirit.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a record of the ancient inhabitants of America, and their dealings with God; namely, the native Americans. God is no respector of persons; He loves all His children. He wants us all to make it back to live with Him; the Book of Mormon is proof to me that God loves all people of all nations; why would he only give His Word to just the Children of Israel?
The Book of Mormon was written by the prophets that were called of God on the American Continent; they too testifed that Jesus is the Christ, and he would surely come to redeem us from our sins. The book gets it's name from the prophet Mormon, who collected the individual records kept by prophets throughout the centuries, and complied them into one volume, written on gold plates. He gave them to his son, Moroni, who buried them in a hill by what is now known as Upstate New York. Centuries later, a young man named Joseph Smith, who wanted to know which church was true, had a vision of God the Father and His Son, who told him the truth was lost over the years, and he would be a tool in the Lord's hands to restore what was lost. A few years later, that same Moroni who buried the plates, visited Joseph as an angel of the Lord, and directed him to the ancient record. Through the gift on power of God, he was able to translate the book into English. The Book of Mormon helps us understand the fullness of the Gospel; with the Bible, we can discover God's will for us.
