About Me

My name is Joshua, and I am a resident of the great state of Utah. I enjoy backpacking in the mountain wilderness; I am a fan of classic rock; and I enjoy spending quality time with my family! I love a good laugh. Wrestling is my favorite sport, and it is closely followed by Dodgeball and Four-Square. I believe strongly that Life is to be Enjoyed, not just Endured. I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have never felt such peace in my life as I have living the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have sincerely asked God if what I believe is the truth and I know without a doubt that it is. God answered my prayers through his holy spirit, and because of the great love it has brought to my life I want to share it with others.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord as one of his Missionaries in Eastern Tennessee. I have set aside the things of the world to strengthen others testimony in Jesus Christ, and to help them fully realize God's love for them.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

In the Book of Mormon Jesus says: 'And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood...' -3 Nephi 27:19
I know that it is only through the blood of Christ that we can be saved, if we believe in Jesus and follow God's commandments we can once again enter into the kingdom of God. I know that redemption comes in and through Jesus Christ, and He came to offer himself a sacrifice for sin, that through him we might be saved.

Have you ever met a perfect person? I doubt it. Why? Because everyone makes mistakes. When you make a mistake or are confused on what you should do, you want someone to help you, right? We all need someone to help us. We all need a Savior. We always hear that Jesus Christ saved us, but what does that truly mean? It not only means that he suffered and died for you personally, it means that he lived and lives for us too. He wants to help us. Jesus Christ is the only one who underestands everything that we go through. He not only wants to make up for the mistakes we make, but he wants to carry our burdens too. All we need to do is let him carry our burdens. Everyone faces personal challenges and Jesus is there to help. Everyone makes a mistake qa some point in life too. The beauty of having a Savior, is the fact that we can be forgiven. Sometimes our hands get dirty, but they can always be washed clean.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

I personally enjoy The Bible as one of my favorite books. I know it is the word of The Lord. As I read the bible, I also tried to study where it came from. Before joining the church, I did believe that the bible was the word of God. But why? I believed in it before reading it... Well, the reason why I know, is because I ask God and He answered me. There is no other way. I wasn't there when it was translated, so how can I know? Some people just believe that it is true because everybody else says so. Heavenly Father can answer our prayers, why don't we ask Him?
