About Me

I am now a missionary in the England London Mission.I love to serve here,there are people from every where in the world!That was such a great opportunity for me to be able to serve here!I Learned how to love people from many different cultures,backgrounds and interests.
For myself I Love to travel around the globe,love History,I want to pursue an archaeology career when I go back home.I am just fascinated by the ancient people,the way they used to think and the wonders they created.Also love to meet new people,hang out with my friends and help when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up as a member of this church,I am a 2nd generation members because both of my parents accepted the gospel with gladnees in their teens.Both have a wonderful testimony and are so grateful for this church and it's gospel.For me I think I only came to know this church was true in my mission,I did feel good about the church and it brought blessings to my life and my family's that I knew it has to be good.But the need to know if it was true only came when I was in the mission field and I realized I needed to truly know something I was going to share for 2 years.By about 3 months and a half in my mission I woke up one morning very sad,and I didn't know why.I realized the reason was because I was doing something I didn't know if it was really true.I told this to my companion and he challenged me to read Moroni 10:3-5 and pray.I did as he told me and after I read it I prayed with all the sincerity of my heart,yearning to know for myself.I felt so good when I did it and I received an overwhelming feeling of happiness,and since then I know that this gospel it's true.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I love the book of mormon!!!!I will be honest!Before my mission I didn't take the book of mormon as serious as I should,I always enjoyed the Bible stories more,probably because I didn't give as much attention as I should to the Book of Mormon.Well,before my mission I decided to read it to truly know it.I remember my love increasing for the Book of mormon.the stories are as magnificent as the Bible.I felt the spirit very strong so many times when I read it.As a result struggles that I had with the commandments where easier to overcome,I began to have more spiritual strenght and a firmer testimony of Jesus Christ and os God.I am truly grateful for the Book of Mormon and for the wonderful stories and experiences of the people therein.

How I live my faith

"Pray as if all depends on Heavenly Father,work as if it all depends on you"
This sentence defines how I lived my life so far.I have learnt that faith with no works is dead,but also that if we work only and have no faith,or trust in God our works will also be dead.For me I realized that I need both.I always prayed for directions in my life,once I receive them I do my best to fulfill them with the strength that my Father in Heaven gives me.I had many trials and hardships in my life,but what I learned from them is that if you trust God,He will get you through it,even if He has to carry you in His shoulders!

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing blessings can be seen everywhere around uswhen we go to church,to the temples,when we see the missionaries,books,pamphlets,cards that the church gives for free to people.I always like to compare tithing with a lemon!The Lord is asking us to give him one of our 10 lemonsWe are asked to pay 10 of our income to Him.But what happens is that He gives us back a tasty and delicious lemonade!We as members receive so much,our chapels are always tidy and clean,we receive the materials we need to use in the church completely free,family history,welfare programs and so forth.Things that truly bless our lives!

The money received from members in the form of tithing goes directly to the headquarters of the church where a council decides what will be done with the money. Here are some ways in which the tithing funds are used:
1. Build, maintain, and operate temples, meetinghouses, and other buildings.
2. Provide operating funds for stakes, wards, and other units of the Church. (These units use the funds to carry out the ecclesiastical programs of the Church, which include teaching the gospel and conducting social activities.)
3. Help the missionary program.
4. Educate young people in Church schools, seminaries, and institutes.
5. Print and distribute lesson materials.
6. Help in family history and temple work.

*It is important to note that tithing funds are not used to pay leaders of the church. All leaders of the church are volunteers and receive no form of pay.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

This is nothing new, nor is it exclusive to the Judeo-Christian tradition. Many faiths practice alms or a tithe, including Islam and Sikhism.

A voluntary religious contribution of 10% is a tithe or tithing. This type of offering is mentioned many times in the both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. In the book of Genesis, chapter 28 verse 22, the ancient patriarch Jacob covenanted with the Lord, "and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee."

Everything we have, our lives, the earth and everything in it, have been given freely to us by a loving Father in Heaven. He asks only a small portion in return to help build his kingdom on the earth.

When my husband and I were first married, we decided to make paying a 10% tithe a top financial priority, and it has been a great blessing to us through the years. In Malachi, chapter 3 verse 10 it states, "Bring yea ll the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you thei windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." This has certainly been the case with us.

I realize that 10% of one's income can seem like a large sacrifice. However, when the law of the tithe is kept, it serves as a portal through which great blessings (both tangible and intangible) can flow. The Lord always finds a way to bless those who do what He asks them to do.
