I'm originally from the Washington, DC area. l enjoy playing cards and eating all kinds of unhealthy foods. Politics is my main hobby, but now getting into college football a bit. I'm a U.S. Army combat medic, and I love my job. I've been a soldier for several years now and completed a tour of duty in the Middle East where I was baptized a Mormon 3 years ago.
The Holy Ghost is the only reliable way to know any spiritual truths. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the inspired Word of God, just like the Holy Bible. And I know that the LDS Church is the Kingdom of God on earth today possessing and exercising His Divine Priesthood authority to speak and act on His behalf.
The Book of Mormon is a reliable tool that provides me with revelation and inspiration from Heavenly Father to know how to guide my life and keep it in harmony with His Will. From Its' pages I have gotten a deeper understanding of the love He has for me and for all His children. I have come to understand more of the Atonement of His Son Jesus Christ and the impact it has on all creation.
I was baptized into the Church while deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. I started attending LDS meetings just for spiritual uplift and had no initial intention of becoming a member. I became more curious and started reading Church publications. Over time I came to realize through reading and pondering the Scriptures that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one true Church on earth. I gained a Divine witness that Joseph Smith was indeed called of God, and I entered the waters of baptism the evening of December 25, 2007.
Right now, I serve as a full-time missionary of Jesus Christ in the Great State of Georgia. I invite others to more fully come unto Christ by helping them receive the Restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
