Terrence J.: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Terrence J.

I'M a singer, writer, poet, sports fanatic, A Noodler, and i'm a MORMON!!!!!!!!!!!!

About Me

I am a southern boy from mississippi, and i Love to play basketball, football, baseball, ping pong, / you know what, just all sports.I am currently serving as a missionary in the Georgia Atlanta mission and i love it so so so so so so so so so so so so so much. I love to sing, write lyrics and poetry in my spare time, and cook. I am A very intelligent guy whom plans to attend college in the near future after the completion of my two year mission in Atlanta, georgia. I grew up in Mississippi and have been embraced by loving, diligent, and respective parents since birth. I plan on baptizing LeBron James my second cousin one day. I'm very involved in the community with parades, sports activities, etc. I love to noodle whenever i have a chance. ( yes, it means i like catching big, swamp grown catfish on my arm). I was born into the church and it has truly been an essential part in my life. The standards that have been instilled in me have allowed me to be an example to those that i come in contact with. I love the gospel and the divine truths that have been restored. The Lord works in all of our lives. We just have to be humble enough to submit to his will, and bear our trials, challenges, and tribulations with patience.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but it came a period of time in my life that i had to find out if it was true or not. My knowledge of the bible was very extensive at a very young age. I had studied it's doctrine and theology, wanting to know why so much religious confusion was uproaring from just one book that taught about the principles of the gospel. Time, gas, and energy filled the space of my life as I sought for the place that my father in heaven wanted me to go. The answer i received was so vivid and clear that i dare not reject the conviction I felt from reading the book of mormon. The stories and experiences that are in that book are simple "AMAZING". This record of a fallen people is symmetrically correct, and had to be translated by a man of God. Knowing that Joseph smith only had a third grade education, put's the icing on the cake.
I've experienced many spiritual things that are too sacred to share on here, but through those experiences i've been converted in my own way. I'm very grateful for the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I know that my salvation would be forever at risk if not for Him. Although i can't fully comprehend the splendor of His life, the majesty of His death, or the universality of His gift to all mankind, i declare with a centurion who said at his death '' Truly this man was the Son of God''. I get on my knees in humble prayer everyday to thank my Heavenly Father for the many blessings i've received in my life. I know that this is the only true and living church on the earth. For these blessings, I am forever indebted and grateful. I've eargerly tried to center my life around the gospel by upholding church standards and trying to be an example to others that i come in contact with. Nevertheless, we all have faults and we need to repent everyday. I feel the everlasting and unconditional love and compassion of the Savior and God in my life so much. i hope you feel the same. For this is why i'm mormon.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel by applying it in my life. I've been in a couple of callings that have helped me to grow. Those are what callings are for, to help us grow. Although we don't know everything right off the bat, the church is a learning labatory for all those who are willing to follow God. In my past, i've helped to organize many church activities, and in the process, i've grown myself. This is how Heavenly Father would want it, and this is how it is done. In the sceme of eternal progression, our Father in Heaven makes ways for us to be realeased from the bondages of pride and guilt. Through this, i've found an amazing new love for my Redeemer. Knowing that Jesus Christ bought me with his blood, literally through His atonement, has manifested to my soul, the love and compassion that my Father in Heaven has for me. It is through this love in which we are able to receive eternal life.
