I am a father of five and grandfather of 18. All my children and grandchildren live within a few blocks of our home. I am an Idaho born native that loves the West and enjoys golfing, amature video production and beautiful nature. My best friend is my wife of 41 years, Anita. We love snorkeling in Hawaii and bird watching where ever we go. It has been a wonderful life for us. I have been a Realtor all my professional life, but currently am serving as a Mission President in Atlanta Georgia for the Momon Church. We find Georgia a beautiful and wonderful place to live. All my children and grandchildren are the crowning achievement of my life and I love them each dearly. I love God and His son Jesus Christ and my life is centered about them, their teachings and desires for us.
I was born into a wonderful mormon family. However, I, like everyone, had to gain my own witness that the teachings I learned in my youth were actually true and of God. I have come to know that indeed Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and the Lord through him restored the fullness of the gospel of Christ and His priesthood authority. The Book of Mormon has had a profound influence in my life bring me closer to Jesus Christ than any other single thing or event. My testimony of these truths is among the most precious possessions that I have in this life. The richness of spirit that being a member of the Church brings into my life can be found in no other place. I love the wonderful work that is carried out in the Temples of the Lord found around the world. I love that my family is sealed to me for "time and all eternity." I love the good feelings that I enjoy because of this knowledge and those experiences. I am a Mormon because following the truths taught by the Lord through his Prophets brings me great joy, happiness and meaning to my life.
The Prophet Joseph Smith once said when asked how he governed his people, " I teach them correct principles and they govern themselves." My wife and I tried to teach our children the truths of Jesus Christ and his gospel message and help them know "how" to find those truths for themselves. The inner strength that comes from that knowledge both understood and "felt" was the greatest thing we felt we could do to prepare them for the temptations found in the world. Of course, loving guidance, family rules, close and trusting communication and making our home a "safe haven" were essential elements in our effort to raise strong responsible children.
Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is not just a Sunday religion, but truly a way of life. In my weakness, I strive to follow all the truths that have been revealed. I trust completely in my Savior Jesus Christ who is the only way to salvation. My faith is the very center of my life and flavors everything I do. I just try to do the best I can, be the best I can and then trust in Jesus Christ and his loving atonement.
