i live to stand out and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 7, with as twice as many animals. very much into the outdoors, and very much wanting to go out and explore. Everything is worth trying once and always be the second one in line. haven't yet gone to collage but i do have plans to go there soon. I want to eventual to own my own business, i want to manufacture something, it good I'm still young and i have time to get my life in order. Born into a member family and wouldn't be anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

Very simple in fact, I like the church. Going to church and reading the scripture bring great comfort and guidance into my life. The restored gospel has help get though challenges in today society, now I want to share what has brought happiness into my life with others. I’ve received a great blessing to have parents who were members and they show my at a young at how it will help my become like Christ.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I've attained other churches and everyone has different views and different beliefs but all use the bible and that really confused me. i had to read the Book of Mormon to really understand what really is the doctrine of God and what is the doctrine of men. now i have no doubt what i need to do for my salvation.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

My mission was 2 years long and I served in Georgia. I served in 5 cites and each one had very different economics, race, and social statues of people. As missionaries we are on the streets teaching and trying to get people closer to Christ. We do all sorts of different actives but common is going door to door knocking yes I was of them who knock on your door at random time of the day. We have three main types of actives we do one going door to door and talking to you on the street another is helping member and teaching member of our own local congregations and the third is service, we try to help those in need or team-up with other groups who help the local people. I will be ending my full time mission December, 20 2011. I can tell you as a missionary we have a message of great news that can help both you and your family I know this because I’ve seen it happen right before my eyes. I’m happy to go back to my friends and family but I will miss all the people I’ve meet and helped here in Georgia.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by keeping the promise I’ve made, I keep them to show my love for the savior. I’m now serving a mission I do this it has been ask by the lord to share the gospel.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

As long as I’ve lived my family has been active in our faith. We all learned that by obedience and living the gospel standards brought us as individuals closer to Christ. An avoidable blessing when we as individuals came closer to Christ is that we as a family came closer to each other. My faith in Christ gives me hope that people can change for the better and he has already set a way for that to happen. My faith has help old stay wounds stay closed and new wounds happen less and heal quicker.

Jesus of Nazareth was, and still is, the great healer. It is our faith in Him which enables Him to perform miracles in our lives. Often that miracle is a change of heart which allows us to forgive, see others in a new light, or feel an increased measure of love. Having faith in Jesus as our divine redeemer enables Him to bless our marriage and family relationships with an increased measure of unity and love.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Latter Day Saints(Mormons) donate 10% of their income to the church because the Lord has commanded us too! In Proverbs 3:9 it says, "Honour the Lord with substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase." This is talking about tithing, tithing literally means one-tenth, which is 10%. So when the Lord commands us to donate one-tenth of our increase(income) that is what we do. If you look at Malachi 3:8-10 you will see that the Lord is asking for us to give him our tithes (10%) and in return he will open the windows of Heaven and pour out blessings, so many that we won't be able to contain them. Wouldn't you want to receive innumerable blessings for just giving Him 10% of your pay check? It seems like a pretty fair trade to me.
