Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for the truth that I believe in the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. I have a deep meaning in what the scripture has said about who we are. The faith ahs given me a great light through difficult times.

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

I have had the Blessings of the Holy Ghost after being Baptized, I had been given my Patriarchal Blessing and been ordained and Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?

The Old Testament is The Song of Solomon, and then Book of Mormon is Moroni and in the new Testament is the Book of Revelations

How I live my faith

I live my faith by volunteering out the Local Foodbank, and helping out in all different areas of the community, which is a valuable asset to living. I feel great honour knowing that i can help make a better difference in peoples lives.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

This issue is one that is rife with misunderstanding to outsiders. First, let me say here that we love and accept all of God's children, regardless of beliefs. That being said, we affirm that the central purpose of life is to make and keep covenants in a family relationship. By extension that means bringing children into the world, born in loving families with both a father and a mother.

We believe that our genders are an essential aspect of our eternal identities, that we were male and female even before we came to this earth. Neither sex is more important than the other; both serve the purpose of God to save His children. Both priesthood and motherhood are essential in the rearing of children.

I myself am unspeakably grateful for the blessing of having both a loving father and mother. They each supported me in different ways, unique to their identity as a man and a woman.

We believe that all sexual activity should be reserved for marriage and that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

We do not deny anyone the right to choose. Hate has no place in our church.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No, but we are instructed to be involved and to seek spiritual guidance in all political matters.

We believe that the leaders of a nation, state, and community can have a great influence for good or for evil and we need to ensure that they are represent our values and beliefs.
