Megdalynn: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Megdalynn

I'm the wife of a 4th year medical student, a musician, and the mother of 3 (almost 4!). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life, I play the piano, the violin, the viola, and I love singing. Occasionally I find the time to do some acting, but my true obsession is my children.
I grew up in Utah Valley, but have moved many times since getting married as I've followed my husband in his career.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helps me to become the best I can be. The teachings of the Church inspire me to constantly seek to be better, and to draw closer to divinity. I'm a Mormon, because I know God loves us, and because I want to live with him again someday.

Personal Stories

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

I'm happy. All the time! Even when I get a little down, I'm still able to smile and have hope for the future because of my faith!

How has attending Church services helped you?

When I start thinking that I don't need to be at Church and I go anyway I always end up being touched by someone else, or reminded of something that I had forgotten. Church services have a way of making me feel loved and special because they remind me of who I really am.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

You know, sometimes sharing a talent can help others want to develop one of their own. When I admire someone's talent, especially someone who is actively working on developing their talent, it inspires me to achieve my goals and share my talents with others.

How has The Book of Mormon helped you understand the purpose of life?

The Book of Mormon helped me understand that God wants us to be happy, and He has created a way for us to live with Him again.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

By leading me and guiding me in life. There have been times when I've needed help with a specific situation, and the Holy Ghost has helped me find the solution I needed, or the comfort I needed.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

We can develop greater harmony in our homes by treating each other with love, by centering our homes on Christ, and by having regular prayers and scripture study. We can make sure that negative influences do not enter our homes by treating them as sacred places.

What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted influences?

We don't subscribe to paid television. We have an antenna, and use the internet to watch good programs that we enjoy. Sometimes we turn off the TV and just enjoy being together!

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

Reading the Book of Mormon helps me to look at the 'big picture', you know, to get my head out of my current situation and focus on the things that are really important in life.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

I really strive to have a prayer in my heart all throughout the day. I find that when I maintain a constant conversation with God I am happier, make better decisions, and am more mindful of others. When I pray in the morning and evening I feel a strong connection to God and His love.

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

I know that Joseph Smith received revelation from God, that he was a prophet, because I have studied his words and prayed to God to find out the truth.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

To share the gospel of Jesus Christ with all the world! Christ's gospel is one of love, hope, and joy, and we want to share those things with all people.

How I live my faith

I get to live my faith by teaching children about the gospel through music! There have been many times in my life when the lyrics of a song have helped me to remember how much God loves me, and all of His children. These simple reminders really help me to embrace my life, and to treat God's children with love and kindness.
