I believe in the potiential of people to do good things. I strive to be a role model for youth. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 25 years, have 4 children, 2 girls, 2 boys with three teenagers that are still living at home. I work as a Director of Operations for a metal products manufacturer.
My hobbies are spending time with my family; playing games, camping. We enjoy the outdoors. We enjoy supporting our teenagers involvement with marching Band. They play percussion, trumpet and saxphone.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a greater purpose in life than just the here and now. I was taught by my parents that there was a purpose for our lives. Why I am here, where I came from and where I am going, is called the plan of Salvation. I know it gives me the answers that are true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the answers that make sense.
In a growing world of confusion, false leaders who are not worthy of our trust, corrupt governments, corruption in many corporations, it is hard to find peace. Through my involvement in the LDS church I have found the stability, peace, and understanding that takes away the confusion that no worldly effort can provide.
I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth with living prophets, priesthood authority, revealed scriptures like the Book of Mormon and modern revelation to help us understand what to do and how to find true happiness in this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a member of the high priest group leadership for my area. I organize and give lessons on Sunday for Priesthood meeting. I help organize service activites in the community. I am a home teacher, which provides the opportunity to visit with 3 families and one individual in our area once a month. I share a gospel centered message, see how they are doing, if I can provide any service for them and give a positive encouragement for dealing with the challenges of life. I enjoy all the activities that my religion provides.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

We are called mormons because of a book of scripture that we sustain as the word of God called, "The Book of Mormon'. It contains a record of people who traveled from Jeruselem to the American continent and settled. Their faith, obedience and disobedience to the commandments of the Lord bring about great consequences for all of us to learn from. I challenge anyone to read it that is searching for the truth.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

When married by earthly power and the authority of man, our vows are "Until death do you part."

We believe that families can be together forever as part of our Heavenly Father's Great Plan of Happiness. His Work and His Glory is to bring to pass the exaltation and eternal life of man. He wants us to be even as He is and to return home to live with Him again.

Through the ordinances of his Holy Temples, God's son's and daughter's are able to make covenants. Through the power of His Holy Priesthood, be sealed together for all of time and eternity as Husband and Wife, parents and children.

Families were designed and instituted by God with the intent that they be forever. The love we feel in this life does not need to be cut off when we die. Those who have already died are not lost us forever. God has mercifully made a way by which all who would accept these saving ordinances can do so, living or dead.

We perform these ordinances for those who have in the past died so that they may have the opportunity of accepting them on the other side if they so choose to do so.
