Justin: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Justin

I'm a college student. I'm an athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Love swimming, water polo, cycling. I'm a College Student. I enjoy reading, watching movies, paintballing, and just hanging out. I'm 21 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints, I nearly always believed it but there were times when I sincerely doubted it. I thought the teachings of the church were good, but one day I felt I had to know for myself. I was always taught if you have a question and are sincere, God will answer your prayer. I remember kneeling down and asking God if the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints was his true and living church. I recieved my answer by the power of the Holy Spirit. I knew then and I know now that this church is God's church and I Love the blessings it has brought into my life to be a part of God's church. I'm definately not perfect but the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ is helping me become a better person, the ordinances of the Gospel give me greater knowledge and application of the cleansing power of Jesus Christ and his infinate Atonement.

Personal Stories

Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?

My faith in my savior moves me to action every day. From repenting of my little mistakes to helping others. I know my savior lives, I know that all mankind are my brothers and sisters and that God has commanded we help one another. I may not see the end result of helping someone with their yard work, but I know it's the right thing to do.

How has attending Church services helped you?

To me church services are more than just going somewhere. It is something that is an active part of my life. When I go to church I gain a feeling of peace, almost like i'm recharging my batteries. At church I can focus even more on my savior and what his sacrifice means to me. I have the opportunity to partake of the sacrament, or communion as some churchs call it, and I enjoy the spirit that comes from it.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Yes. Actually I'm a missionary right now, or I guess I was as I wrote this. I served in Mississippi, Louisianna, Texas, and Arkansas. From Texarkana to Vicksburg, to Picayune. I loved being a missionary. You may wonder why we go on missions in the south, after all the south is a very religious place. Well the reason is very simple, it's all about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that God has called a modern day prophet and restored what was lost with the death of the apostles of the early church. It's a great blessing to be involved in the spreading of the Gospel.

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

I know it happened. The most beautiful message we can share is that of the restoration of the true and living church that Christ himself personally established. God called Joseph smith to be a prophet, he called him to restore what was lost. It is evidence that god loves us just as much today as he did in times of old. I know it's true I've felt the confirmation from the spirit of God, the holy spirit. It's a calm energy that you can't deny, a peace that is beautiful beyond description. It's true, don't take my word for it. Find out for yourself!! read the Book of Mormon, speak with the missionaries, Find the truth.

How I live my faith

I love my faith because it's about becoming something better. Every day is a new opportunity to learn grow and change, to become more like our savior Jesus Christ. I live my faith by doing my all to become more like my savior everyday, I fall short and I make mistakes but it's a process and I continue on it everyday.
