About Me

I the only child in my family. Right now I am currently serving a mission in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. This is experience has changed my life. I love to play lacrosse and volleyball. I'm hoping to study sports medicine for my career. Besides sports, I love listening to music. There never was a day where I didn't have my Ipod with me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but like every other member I had to find my own testimony. I always wanted to serve a mission, but my actions didn't show it. I guess being a mormon was just like a social status to me. I didn't like church. Work and sports were more important than church activities. I didn't have a testimony. But as my friends were coming home from their missions, I saw the change the gospel had brought into their life. You could see the blessings from living the commandments, reading the scriptures. Eventually I just got on my knees and prayed and prayed. I told myself I wouldn't get up until I got an answer. And The Spirit answered me in a way that I could not deny. I can't thank my family and friends enough for the wonderful example they have set, for helping me stay on the right path.

How I live my faith

As I study the scriptures, pray often, and teach others, I am gaining a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ and his teachings everyday.

What do Mormons believe about family?

My family means everything to me! They raised me to be the person I am today. We believe that family is just as important to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as it is to us. Since God is our Father in Heaven, we are all his children. Meaning we are one big family! And like any loving parent, He desires eternal happiness for all of us. Because of that, the teachings of Jesus Christ are designed to help earthly families become eternal.

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Have you ever met a perfect person? I doubt it. Why? Because everyone makes mistakes. When you make a mistake or are confused on what you should do, you want someone to help you, right? We all need someone to help us. We all need a Savior. We always hear that Jesus Christ saved us, but what does that truly mean? It not only means that he suffered and died for you personally, it means that he lived and lives for us too. He wants to help us. Jesus Christ is the only one who underestands everything that we go through. He not only wants to make up for the mistakes we make, but he wants to carry our burdens too. All we need to do is let him carry our burdens. Everyone faces personal challenges and Jesus is there to help. Everyone makes a mistake qa some point in life too. The beauty of having a Savior, is the fact that we can be forgiven. Sometimes our hands get dirty, but they can always be washed clean.
