KaLisi: Mormon.

Hi, I'm KaLisi

I'm a mom, a wife...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Alaska... and I aspire to my Alaskan heritage by doing tough things. Nothing brings me more satisfaction then finishing a project and working around my house! I enjoy building and painting... crafting and sewing... reading and writing... and trying new things! I also like to play... I play the piano... I play with toys...I play in the yard...and I play with my kids! I love to laugh and make people laugh. I'm a mom, a wife, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. I've searched it out in my heart... and I know that it's true. No other religion makes as much sense... so I've embraced it and live by it! I don't know what my life would be without it!

Personal Stories

Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?

I just do what I feel. Sometimes in the conversations I have with friends or my children, I have ideas or thoughts pop into my head. I know that a lot of the time it's coming from Heavenly Father, and I try to act on those feelings.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

One of my favorite experiences in the Book of Mormon tells about Jesus Christ visiting and teaching the people in America. After he was done teaching, he asked that the children be brought to Him. He blessed them individually and wept because of the love he had for the children. Every time I read that passage, I am reminded of the love he has not only for those small children that lived long ago, but the love he has for me, and my children ... and everyone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the children in our church and volunteering in the community... but my favorite job is raising our 3 boys! Being a stay-at-home mom is not always easy, in fact it can be down-right discouraging and hard. But, I can't think of a better place to learn how to be patient and loving, and more like the Savior. That really is my ultimate goal... to be more like Him. To treat people with love and respect... and see them for who they really are. And when things get hard and challenging, I try to rely on Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father for strength and comfort. That's what gets me through the day.
