Fangaafa : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Fangaafa

I'm a Mormon before I am Tongan.

About Me

I recently returned home from serving in the California Santa Rosa Mission.
I love learning about traditions and cultures. I love the Hmong people a ton. I love relationships. I love food. I love to laugh. I love to travel. I love teaching. I love to talk ALOT. I love to dance dance dance. I love to listen to the wind, be still, and take time to reflect on life and how blessed I am. I'm loving life!

Why I am a Mormon

In the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ, a great King named Benjamin admonished his people and us to be "...steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent may SEAL YOU HIS, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen." Mosiah 515 This is why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I want the Lord to SEAL ME HIS so that I can have everlasting joy.
I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have of my Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have of a loving Heavenly Father who wants to help us if we would just humble ourselves, kneel in sincere prayer, and simply ask. I'm grateful for modern day prophets who speak the words of God, and the power of the priesthood that is on the Earth. I'm grateful for the opportunity to forever learn about God and His will for me. I know that because I'm a member of this true and everlasting church, I have been blessed with what I have and what I know. It brings great joy to my heart and soul to have a testimony of these things by the power of the Holy Ghost.
As I remain steadfast and immovable in my testimony and continue to serve my brothers and sisters like the Savior would if He were here at this time, He will SEAL ME HIS and I can live with Him forever with my family.

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

Prayers have been answered by thoughts that come to my mind and feelings that come to my heart as I ponder upon concerns that I take to the Lord. What an amazing feeling it is to draw nearer to God through prayer and gain a stronger testimony each time I receive an answer to my prayer that He loves me and knows me by name.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

We go out on missions because it's a privilege. No words can express the true joy that we receive in serving others and preaching the Gospel. We go out on missions because we have a testimony of its truthfulness and want to share that with others so that they may come unto Christ and receive His gospel. The blessings are endless in the gospel and we want other people to feel blessed and experience true joy. As we bring people closer to Christ through the Spirit of God, we too become closer to the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I love offering service in all measurements because my smile gets bigger and bigger. It brings so much joy to my life. I love teaching not only the Gospel, but also Polynesian dancing so that others may know more about the beauty of my culture. I also have fun serving my friends and family members. Sometimes all they need is someone to listen to them and that's what I try to do. Just listen. It truly is a great act of service. It's such a blessing to be able to serve others because that's what the Gospel is all about.
