Cheryl: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Cheryl

I am a wife and mother of 7 and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 7. I love to try new things. I have always been that way. I love to get in and taste the good in life. I love to do traditional things like cooking, baking and sewing. I love to take on do it yourself projects. I love to be creative and do new things and keep my zest for life. I am first a wife then a mother. I am a friend, I am an LDS woman. I love God above and my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for my opportunity to live on this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was fortunate enough to be born into a family line that introduced me to the gospel as a child. After my introduction to the gospel I felt the Holy Ghost manifest the truthfulness of the gospel to me. I have felt the tender promptings of the spirit and I know the gospel is true. I was greatly influenced by a mother that read the scriptures, prayed and taught us the gospel along the way. My mother taught us important lessons about life and always turned to our Father in Heaven for answers. My mother has worked to pattern her life after the Savior. I am trying to be like Jesus because of my belief that he is real and that he loves me. As I have made mistakes I have worked at turning to the Lord so that I can make better choices when I choose again. I believe my life is happier because I have followed the path that my beliefs have set me on.

How I live my faith

I was blessed with the opportunity to marry and have a family. I live my faith each day as I interact with my family. We have regular informal discussions in our home about the gospel. We read the scriptures together as a family and pray together. One night a week everyone stays home for family home evening. During family home evening we both strengthen our bond as a family and learn Gospel truths. In addition my husband and I attend the temple together. We also take our family of 9 to church each week.

I live my faith in the community as I work with the Young Women of our ward. I enjoy my association with the Young Women as we learn the gospel and navigate life together.
