About Me

I am a wife and mother of three boys. I graduated from college and now am blessed to be able to stay home with our children. I enjoy cooking, gardening, photography, exercising, biking, hiking, camping, skiing, vacationing and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints while my mother joined the church shortly after she and my father were married. I was then taught the gospel from my earliest days and feel that it has blessed my life and made me the wife, mother and daughter that I am today.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in our ward as the Relief Society Secretary. The Relief Society is the women's organization in our church that brings so many blessings to each lady (sister). I love a program that we have called Visiting Teaching where we are able to visit and serve specific sisters in our ward. I try to live each day to serve our Savior by serving my family, friends and those that I meet or come in contact with each day!

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Since I do not think legislation will ever be enacted against it, we will have to stop it one person at a time. I think the key to this is placing the proper barriers between your life and the damning influence of pornography. That means staying away from unwholesome places, and putting the proper protections on your electronic devices. It also means controlling your thoughts.

Be honost and realize how damaging pornography is to yourself. Because of its damaging influence on self-esteem pornography also damges your relationship with others. So I would say, just get away from it and get an army of people to help you do so if necessary! When you get away then you'll see the joy and happiness the influence of pornography takes you away from. With this awakening, youll want to warn others to get away from the deception of pornography.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

For me, nature is one of the strongest evidences that there is a God. It is hard for me to believe that the mountains, oceans, forests, flowers, animals, and skies were randomly formed. It is hard to deny the beauty and the peace one can feel while sitting in silence and looking into the night sky.

Beyond that, answered prayers tell me there is a God. I have prayed too many times and seen answers too many times for me to think that it has all been coincidence. These were prayers that expressed my concerns of which no one knew, yet were accompanied by answers that were so specific and detailed. God loves us to a degree we cannot comprehend, and as we look we will feel His love in very powerful and comforting ways.
