About Me

I love everything there is to do with the outdoors! We raise cattle for a living, and it's the best! I love doing it!
I love playing basketball and I was always really good at running, but it was not my favorite thing to do for sure, ;)
I love my family more than anything in the world!

Why I am a Mormon

Well when I was younger, it was always a lot funner to go hunting on Sunday than go to church! And even though I still love to hunt, I know that this gospel is true and I know that blessings come from living the gospel. There has been a lot of changing in my life, and as those changes have come, I've been a lot happier following the gospel!

How I live my faith

Right now, I live my faith all day every day as a missionary, and it is great! I get to share the happiness and joy of Christ's true gospel with everybody I come in contact with.
This gospel has brought so much joy and peace into my life, that I want to share it with everybody!
After my mission, I want to help out in the church in whatever way I am needed!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Having a testimony means you know something. It usually takes some work to gain a testimony, you definately have to work for it through study and prayer, but after that, you can face lifes challenges with a knowledge that God is there, and that everything is going to be better in the end!

A testimony is the knowledge that a certain principle is true, right, or good. For example, I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He did truly atone for our sins. In order to gain that knowledge, I have studied, reflected on what I learned in my study, and prayed to have that knowledge confirmed in my heart. As an answer to those prayers, (for there were many--building a testimony is an ongoing process) I have felt the truth in my heart.
We can gain testimonies of many principles. Another way is to put that principle into action, as sort of a test. In order to gain a testimony of prayer, we might try praying. To gain a testimony of the principle of tithing, we might try paying a full tithe. (10% of our income.) As we strive to live these principles, the Holy Ghost will confirm the truthfulness of them to our hearts. We will know that they are right; we will have a testimony of them.

Mormons also talk about "bearing testimony." This simply means to share the testimony we have gained with other people, either in a formal setting (like in church) or in a more informal setting (like in a conversation with a friend.)

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes we do! Heavenly Father is the same yesterday today and forever! Today, God has called a prophet to lead and guide us. His name is Thomas S. Monson. He receives revelation for the issues in our day. We can listen to Him and know what our Heavenly Father wants us to do. I know as you follow God's chosen messengers that we can enjoy happiness, safety, and be led back to Him.
