About Me

I have been married just over a year. I recently graduated from college with a business degree and I love meeting new people. I am a huge fan of college football, running, bananas, and making others smile!

Why I am a Mormon

Quite frankly, I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true! My awesome parents built our family and home around the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I wanted to know for myself what God's plan for us is and challenged myself to find out.

As I sincerely read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it, I was continually filled with an indescribable peace and joy in my heart. I found myself being kinder, more loving, more optimistic, less judgmental, and full of joy!

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness to my life everyday. Knowing that the Book of Mormon is true means God has called modern prophets to guide and bless us.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

To share the joy we receive from the Gospel! I lived in Chile for two years and spent lots of that time knocking on doors and being rejected.

However, every time I taught someone who sincerely listened to our message of Christ, it made all of that rejection worthwhile. I was blessed to see people change their lives for better, choose to follow Christ, and enter the waters of baptism to be cleansed of their sins.

It all comes down to love. As we are blessed by Christ's restored Gospel and learn to love others as God loves us, we want to share our blessings with the world.

How I live my faith

I am always trying to show love to everyone I meet. There is no greater feeling serving others and being filled with God's love! I love to invite others to come unto Christ and try to grow more like my Savior each day.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Because God loves us, He has always called prophets on the earth to guide us. After Christ and His apostles were rejected, the earth was without a prophet and God's authority for many years.
In 1820, God and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith to call him as a prophet, again putting God's authority on the earth. He was given the same power and authority as Moses, Noah, and Abraham to guide us in these days!

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

We certainly do not. As a Mormon I've constantly been taught about the importance of family and how to strengthen those bonds. My mother and father exemplify the ideal of loving parents and I am so grateful for that loving bond my 5 siblings and I share with our mom and dad. Our faith does not teach, condone, accept, or defend polygamy in any way.
