Tori: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Tori

I'm a reader. I'm a scientist. I'm a wife and someday mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in a biology research lab. I enjoy reading good books. I love spending time with my husband and other family and friends. I enjoy funny movies, sci-fi TV shows, and word games.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of this church. I was able to grow up in a home that had the gospel, but there came a time after I left home where I needed to completely rely on the Savior. During this time of trial and hardship, I drew closer to Jesus Christ and came to better understand the Atonement. I know that Christ knows us personally because I have felt His love for me. I know that this church is true because I have felt those same feelings of love and comfort when I am living the gospel and reading the Book of Mormon.

Personal Stories

How has attending Church services helped you?

When I recently moved to a new area of the country, my ward was so helpful and welcoming. The women in our ward quickly made me feel like I was truly a sister. Attending church with them allowed me to get to know them on a spiritual level. It's wonderful to share a deep connection through our belief in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. You have that connection wherever you go with this church - as I've experienced many times.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday School class of rambunctious eight and nine year olds with my husband. It's fun to interact and teach the gospel to such young children. I feel a responsibility to help them grow near to Heavenly Father before they reach those trying teenage years. Since I don't have children of my own yet, I cherish this opportunity to practice teaching the gospel. When I do have my own children, I will use the principles of the gospel to build a home where we can feel of His spirit and grow closer to each other and the Savior.
