im an uncle, a missionary, a friend , and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm nineteen and i love being a Mormon. I am a convert. I joined the church when i was 14. i have a twin, he is the greatest person ever. i also have other brothers and sisters. I'm currently on a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. I love to play soccer and foot ball, though i did not do it in school. I guess I'm your typical Uncle with, lots of nieces and nephews. it is amassing to see how much they grow. i hope some day to become a great dad as well. but until then i will devote my time to my God and My Family. At this time I'm not in college but in the future i will go. where too? i don't know. the most interesting thing about me is that i like to hike and i love to be outside just goofing off. i think it is interesting because i don't look like a hiker but i just cant stay away from the Great out doors. The reason is when you get to the top of a molten and it is quiet or you look around at the top and you can see everything it is amassing to seen and feel the things you have accomplished. i also like spending time with my family, especially my little brother. i like jokes i like to cook, and to eat food. I like to listen because it feels god to have people trust you, but most important like good old fashion fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I had an abusive Childhood, so i clang to the word of God. i knew that if truth and justice were on earth at one time they had to be here now or return shortly. Often i wondered why God would not Give us Mericles, or prophets, or more words from himself to direct us. these were very important questions.
As A young man I looked for a light, for anything that could help me change my life. I tryed several Churches, but i kept thinking "This can not be right." there teachings dissagreed with the bible. soon my faith dwindeled i stopped beleaving in god.
later i came apon Mathew 7:7 where it sais "Asck and you shall recive..." the tought occered to me and my brother to asck for a better way or at least to know the truth. (i did not know what i was ascking for.) if god could create the world he could help us out. This would pruve his existance.
what i wanted was a mericle to occer right then but it didn't, it happed the next day. my biologicle Father and i were hanging sheet rock, he got a call, and he told me to get in the car we were going to the School somthing happened to my brothers and sisters. we got there and the people took us and put us in a home in Oroville, CA.
we were litterally delivered from my abusive home. on sunday to my surprise my foster partnts said we were going to church. we got there and lisende to the peopel speek and there was a stering in side me something I felt before, when I read that scripture a good warm feeling. soon people were bering there testimonies and i recunised the Holey Ghost. My questions were ansered there are mericales on the earth, there are prophets the guide us and help us, and there are more scriptures to shed more light. i know and testify of the truth, power, and divinity of the book of mromom. like so many before me i add my testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and the lds chruch.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

missionaries are verry special to me. i love them becaes they bring a message of hope, love, and happyness. many years ago5 i sat down and listend to the missionary disscussions. they tought me to truly pray to listen and to feel. i was able to recive the gosple from them and join the church. since then i have tought with them and helpped them teach others about the true existance of god and the hope he brings. every time i went with them i loved it more and more. now i am a missionary bringing the gift i have recived to others all arround idaho. i love it because i know im helpping the peole come to christ and change there lives. i love misionaries.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

as you strive to make the correct choices the best thing to remember is that at one point you made the correct choice. when you are having troubles making the right choice look back on your past experiance. and you will be able to see that you have the strinth in you. this repeets itself again and again untell you nolonger need to think about it the choice is made and you can moove on.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

prayer plays a huge part in y life because it all started with a prayer.i love my heavenly father and he loves me just as much. i know that i can trust him and poor my heart out to him. often when i feel over loaded or confused i remember that if i pray i will have strinth to make it through. in my life i have been faced with some great dissisions nothing too great but i have learned if i turn to the Lord and asck he will tell me. he always anseres if you dont belive me knell where you are alone and asck just say are you there can you see me. then wate and feel his answer. i have done this many times in my life since becoming a member of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

i am i missionary for the Church and i just got out. befor that i had many oppertunities to surve by being in qourom presidency in teachers, decans, and priest. i love to do surace in the comunity and have helpped my School by repainting. installing benches and a flag pol and many other progects. the campace is alot different now.
other than a missionary i dont have any other callings right now but it is a hard and very important calling to fulfill and i hope to do good.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

we belive that Jesus the christ is our lord and master. we trust in him and fallow his preseps. we also fallow his teachings from the scritpures. christ is a word that means the lord or the savior. james E. Tlmige, Jesus the Christ. we do belive him to be the son of god the only begotten of the father. and as so he was selected to be the savior of the world.

Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. His birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the many prophecies contained in the scriptures concerning the coming of a Savior. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge (see Isaiah 9:6, 53:3-7; Psalms 22:16-18).

Under the direction of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth (John 1:10; Hebrews 1:2).

When Jesus lived on the earth (approximately 2,000 years ago), He led a perfect life. He taught by word and example how people should live in love of God and others.

Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by giving His life on the cross—that is, by performing the Atonement —Jesus Christ saves us from our sins (1 Peter 2:21) as we follow Him. Because of the Atonement, you can be forgiven of your sins when you sincerely repent (Book of Mormon, Mosiah 26:30).

Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saved us from death. Because He overcame death, we will all be given the gift of resurrection, that is to say our spirits will be eternally re-united with our bodies (Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:22). When life on this earth is over, Jesus Christ will be the final Judge (Acts 17:31; John 5:21-22; Acts 10:42).

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The word of wisdom is the Lord's law of health. We abstain from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, and are encouraged to eat wholesome food and grains, and not eat excessive meat. I am asked all of the time by my fellow residents at the hospital why I don't drink coffee, and how I can stay awake all night on call without it. I don't consider it a sacrifice, though, and am as awake and perform as well as any. It is true that the body will be more healthy when following the word of wisdom, the but the main benefit is spiritual. The knowledge that you are in line with the the Lord's teaching is the most important thing.
