I grew up in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to be active and play games. Because i grew up with 5 brothers and 1 sister I tend to get a bit competitive. I served in the Adelaide, Australia Mission from 2009 to 2011. I am a big time Denver Broncos fan which is a NFL team. As a hobby i like to climb the highest county highpoints, whether it is a small hill in Kansas or an above timberline 13,000 foot mountain in Utah. I want to go to college and increase my education. Im not sure what career i want to do. Perhaps something in law enforcement, i have time to decide. One day i would like to travel the world. There is a alot i haven't seen. Why not see the world God has blessed us with. I want to learn how to speak spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. There came a certain point in my teen years when I needed to know for myself if what I was taught was true. through my own efforts i was able to feel and reconize the Holy Spirit testify of the truth of the church, which has continued multiple times in my life since as i have worshipped and followed the teachings of Jesus Christ.

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

Thoughts lead to action, action leads to habit, habits lead to character, Character will greatly influence your harmony at home. But it all starts with a thought. We can always choose to have more harmony in the home.
Most of the time I have a thought in my head," what would Jesus do?"

How I live my faith

I know that faith is action. I go to church every Sunday. I am always trying to follow Jesus Christ's example. I treat others the way i would want to be treated. Faith is a everyday thing, I am not a "sunday Christian" only. If i am going to live a religion i am shooting for 100% and learn as much as i can along the way.

What is the First Vision?

After reading in the bible, James chapter one verse five which says," if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of god. A fourteen year old boy from upstate New York lacked wisdom. His name was Joseph Smith. He was confused about the many churches and about how they taught different doctrines that contradicted each other. Joseph Smith went somewhere quiet to pray to God. As he was praying a miracle happened. God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ appeared to him in what we call "The First Vision." God answered his prayer and told him that none of the churches on earth had the complete truth.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

One of the core teachings of the Church is the eternal nature of the family relationship and that marriage and gender play foundational roles in that relationship. Gender is an immutable aspect of our identity that has been part of us from the beginning, before this life. Viewed from this eternal perspective, marriage is more than a contractual arraignment between two people. In the Gospel of Jesus Christ, marriage involves eternal commitments, including having children and teaching them to distinguish right from wrong. In addition to the ability to conceive children, Men and women have unique parental characteristics that, when combined, create the best scenario for raising those children. Those abilities and characteristics are not present in same-sex marriages.

As far as same-gender attraction goes, the Church's attitude mirrors that of its attitude to any sexual activity outside of the marriage relationship -- complete abstinence. In that sense, the Church does not distinguish between homosexuals and heterosexuals in how it looks upon sexual activity outside of marriage. It emphasizes the cultivation of heterosexual relationships at appropriate times because it is that relationship that leads to marriage.
