Casey: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Casey

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm just an average person, I think. I grew up in rural community along the Idaho/Wyoming border. My dad is a farmer and my mom is an author and nutritional consultant. I have one brother and two sisters. I attended high school in a small community in Wyoming and am currently attending college in Logan, Utah. At the moment...just trying to put a life together and decide what I want to do as a career. I served a full-time mission to New Zealand from Nov. 2008 to Dec. 2010 and served in the Wellington Mission. I enjoy basketball, politics, journalism, graphic design, family, my dog Gomez...and lots of other stuff.

Why I am a Mormon

Good question. My parents are both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...so I grew up in the church. I feel very, very lucky to have been brought up in the Church. I have a strong faith that the Mormon church is the only true church on the face of the Earth. I'm not saying that other churches are necessarily bad, but I am saying that there is only one Church that has the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For me, it's like seeing a giant jigsaw puzzle put perfectly together. If your learning about the Church, keep learning. The more you learn, the quicker you will realize and be able to clearly see that perfect jigsaw puzzle.

How I live my faith

The way someone lives their faith really shows a lot about a person. I'm not perfect at living my faith...but I do the best I can. The biggest word for me with regards to living my faith is OBEDIENCE. God expects us, his children, to be obedient to him. He expects us to always strive to be better than we we are. I strive to live the commandments God has given all of us and I know that I have received blessings in my life because of obedience.
