Hi, I'm Eric
I'm Serving The Lord for two years, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I enjoy hiking, camping, river rafting and pretty much anything to do with the outdoors. To be able to go out and get away from all civilization really is something I enjoy doing. I love to fish whenever I get the chance, Even though I've caught nothing bigger than a trout. My family is a big part and influence in my life and everything that I do, And I've put all of this on hold to serve as a missionary for the Church In Las Vegas.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born and raised in Utah. so statistically I had a pretty good chance of being born into a Mormon family. I've been an active member of the church my entire life, so I've never really seen anything from the "Outside". I know that the all of the Gospel of Christ has been restored and is fully Contained in this Church. As I've read the Book Of Mormon and Prayed about the Things that I've learned from it, I've felt the peace and comfort that witnesses that they are truly from God. I know that he is Mindful of everyone's condition, our stages in life. There never goes a moment when we are away or out of His sight. He is our Father, He Loves us more than we know. That comforts me and brings a sense of peace and happiness into my life. That is Why I'm a Mormon.
Personal Stories
Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?
Love. Everything the Savior did was out of love. As I have been out on a mission, I've really learned to love people for who they are, it makes me happy. that's really the only way to describe it.
How I live my faith
I am Currently Serving as a Missionary for the Church in Las Vegas Nevada. When I first found out that I was being called to come to "Sin City" I really only expected to meet people who were mean, angry, spent all their time at the Casinos and didn't want to talk to anyone. As I started to go out and meet with people, I began to learn that people here are the same as people back home(of course there weren't as many member's of the church.), I've been out here for a year now, and I've learned to serve anyone however I can, whether or not they are a member of the church. I was taught growing up that everyone is just as important to God as everyone else. I like to think that I've become a jack of all trades. I've helped people move, Shoveled horse muck, and for the first time, I was trusted with an ax for chopping huge chunks of wood. Service to others is how I live my faith.
