About Me

I grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My family is currently living in Provo, Utah and served in Fresno California as a full-time missionary for the church. I love to cook and dream of one day opening my own restaurant. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ has helped me to understand that goals are achievable and the Lord is always backing us up to help us to make righteous decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the church and I am forever thankful to them for their courage to follow the gospel, they have been a great example in my life and it helped me to look for myself for the answers that they already had. I am a Mormon because I knealt down before God and asked Him if this was the path that he wanted for me, and by the power of the Holy Ghost It was made known to me that the church is true and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored back to the earth.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is the very core of our relationship with our Heavenly Father, he loves us so much that he wants to comunicate with us. When I pray I can feel Him close and can receive important answers of how to deal with personal problems. He always answers doesn't matter the size of the problem. If anyone needs to know anything the thing to do is to pray.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by sharing it with others, I've learned that when we serve others we are serving our Heavenly Father and that it is important to share the happiness that we have with those that are looking for the truth.
Being a missionary here in California has showen me that God loves all of His Children and that he trully has a plan for all of us, if we choose receive it.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are places to learn of the plan that our Heavenly Father has for us, there we can learn of what we need to do to return to live with him and perform sacred ordinances that will help us to get there. In the temple we have the chance to do for our ancestors those sacred ordinances that they didnt have the opportunity to receive on earth. I love the temple.

They are peaceful, pure places, where only those who have committed to live the most discipled lives can go to ponder and pray. They are places where we learn about God's plan for all of humanity, and where we promise to do all in our power to help all of His children, and receive promises that we can be with Him as well. We wear white clothing that is simple, and remove our watches and bling, to demonstrate a willingness to let go of our day-to-day concerns to focus on the real things: people, and their worth to God.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

We believe that men and women are equal in importance, but different in responsibilities and roles. We are two parts of a whole. Women can bear and raise children, men provide and protect. This may seem old-fashioned, but it works! My husband is the President of a company, and I tell him that he is the President at work, and I am the President of my own little corporation at home. I support him in his challenging job, and he supports me in mine. I do believe that "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world"! I am caring for, teaching and nurturing children who will go out in the world and fulfill their own great destinies. I feel a huge responsibility to prepare them for what they will face in the future and to make sure that they have the ability/tools to handle whatever challenges life brings them. I have the greatest and most challenging job in the world!
