Why I am a Mormon

well i started out mormon, and didnt really believe it for a very long time, then i decided to find out why all these people are so happy all the time, the only diffrence was they read and prayed about the book of mormon, so i read the book of mormon and after a while it made sence, and when i started using the stuff i was learning it was making me alot happier and then when i prayed about it, i had the feelings described in Galatians when it talks about love, joy, and peace, and i knew the only way my brain could handle feeling all that at the same time was if God was telling me these things are true, thats why im mormon

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Because the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives, helps everyone to make it home after this life, gives us hope in trials, brings us closer to family, freinds and everyone else, and gives us true happyness, not fake stuff like you can get anywere else that stays for a while and then leaves, but real joy, that lasts forever, and after we have found it then we can go and help others come to a knolage of there Saivior and the plan that He has for us, that is why we go on missions.

How I live my faith

well, i am a missionary, wich means i go around telling others why im mormon, how thats blessed me, and how it can bless them, and most of all, to help everyone become closer to their saivior Jesus Christ, to tell everyone in the washington area about how much ive learned about Christ from the book of mormon and how great it is to be mormon.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

The Bible is definetly the word of God, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints respects the Bible just as much as the do the Book of Mormon. When read WITH the Bible, the Book of Mormon can help bring us not only more knolage about our Saivior, Jesus Christ, but also can help us gain a personal relationship with him, but thats just it, when read WITH the Holy Bible. Personaly my favorite book between the Bible and the Book of Mormon is the book of Isaiah, wich has been the most exciting book to study in my life. I know most think it is not a very exciting book, but Isaiah testifies of Jesus Christ and the restoration of the Gospel in an elegant way that is not seen in many other places, i love the Bible and it is the word of God, and when used correctly can help us experience life in an amazing way that we cant find anywere else.

I personally enjoy The Bible as one of my favorite books. I know it is the word of The Lord. As I read the bible, I also tried to study where it came from. Before joining the church, I did believe that the bible was the word of God. But why? I believed in it before reading it... Well, the reason why I know, is because I ask God and He answered me. There is no other way. I wasn't there when it was translated, so how can I know? Some people just believe that it is true because everybody else says so. Heavenly Father can answer our prayers, why don't we ask Him?

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes we do! Heavenly Father is the same yesterday today and forever! Today, God has called a prophet to lead and guide us. His name is Thomas S. Monson. He receives revelation for the issues in our day. We can listen to Him and know what our Heavenly Father wants us to do. I know as you follow God's chosen messengers that we can enjoy happiness, safety, and be led back to Him.
