Lorrie : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Lorrie

I grew up in California. I homeschool my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 5. I home-school my children. I love gardening, animals, the outdoors, exercise, reading, and healthy eating.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense to me and feels right. I have not always been active in the church and I have not always adhered to the principles that I now know to be true. I am grateful for the Savior and the knowledge I have of repentance and forgiveness. I know I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and he loves me. I know I can communicate with Him through prayer. He answers my prayers with what is best for me. I can receive personal revelation for myself. I love to learn from the ancient prophets as well from the prophets of modern day. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book from God and I use it in companionship with the Bible. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today. He leads this church through our Savior’s instruction. I know that families and marriage can be eternal ordinances. All the hard work and knowledge I gain on this earth will be taken to heaven with me. I am grateful to have opportunities to make eternal covenants with my Heavenly Father. I am happy and at peace.

Personal Stories

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

Whenever I pray for guidance as a mother and wife in my home, the answer always comes back for me to be patient and love them. Patience and love helps me the most. I know my Savior is patient and loves me. I know that I need to lead by example. Everything that I want my husband or children to do I need to do.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve all the women and their families in the church in my area. In the community, I represent the church and my Savior. I am able to help women be more self sufficient and grow closer to their Savior.
