About Me

i am the oldest of four. i am very big in to sports. i hate being in doors when the weather is nice. my favorite sport is wrestling, i am 2nd in the nation and 3rd in world. i wrestled at 145lbs. i love to spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

i am a Mormon because i understand my purpose here on earth, and i am grateful for knowing what happens in life after death.
i am a Mormon because the Book of Mormon makes sense to me. it helps support the bible and reassures me of my testimony that this church is true that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that though prayer we can talk to God, and will receive an answer to any question we have about him or his church. i know that Jesus lives and he loves each and every one of us. :)

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

the word of wisdom is the health code for the church. it is something that will help keep are bodies in shape and spiritual healthy. Heavenly Father has given us a body to take care of it and the word of wisdom helps us do so. it talks about eating health, but it also talks about things we aren't to take in to are bodies. they are 1) Coffee 2) Alcohol 3) Tea 4) Tobacco 5) Substances or illegal drugs. any easy way to remember this is we don't eat C.A.T.T.S.
i know that living the word of wisdom is a way to make are bodies health both spiritually and physically. heavenly father will all ways bless us when we keep his commandments. read Doctrine and Covenants section 89:1-21

The word of wisdom is the Lord's law of health. We abstain from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, and are encouraged to eat wholesome food and grains, and not eat excessive meat. I am asked all of the time by my fellow residents at the hospital why I don't drink coffee, and how I can stay awake all night on call without it. I don't consider it a sacrifice, though, and am as awake and perform as well as any. It is true that the body will be more healthy when following the word of wisdom, the but the main benefit is spiritual. The knowledge that you are in line with the the Lord's teaching is the most important thing.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Mormon Church does not endorse political parties. It does, however, strongly encourage political participation. We believe that one of God's greatest gifts to his children is the freedom to choose. With this gift comes the responsibility to do our part to make good choices. It is a great blessing to live in areas where we have the opportunity to vote for our leaders.
