Hi, I'm Brenda
I'm a school teacher, a technology specialist, a mother of four boys, a friend to my husband, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
For many years, I loved playing classical guitar. Since being diagnosed with MS, this has become difficult (numb fingers). I try to golf with my husband as my energy holds out. I work full-time for a school district running the curriculum databases and helping teachers integrate technology. I read a lot, and doing pencil puzzles has helped me keep my mind sharp. My favorite pasttime now is playing with my 4 dear grandchildren! And indexing has been a fun way to spend time on the computer doing something helpful!
My husband and I will hit the 30 years married milestone later this year. It is great having a spouse with the same spiritual foundation. We have enjoyed raising four great sons! All four completed missions for the church. Two served in Argentina, and two served in California. We were totally blessed as a family because of this service.
Why I am a Mormon
I was fortunate to be born into a family that were members of this wonderful church! As a small child, I had experiences that taught me that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, and knows me.
The church has been my strength during adversity and is such an integral part of my life that I can't separate it from who I am. I have truly been blessed to have the knowledge and peace that this gospel gives to all who are members.
How I live my faith
Music brings such happiness to the soul! Whether it has been teaching children of all ages hymns that help guide them in their lives, singing with young women up in the mountains, or singing with others from my congregation, music in the church has blessed me. I am truly inspired by music about our Savior.
I've had opportunities to teach adults and children about the gospel and its principles. I've been blessed financially to always have what I need by a lifelong dedication to paying tithing first. I've met so many wonderful people by getting the opportunity to serve with and for them. And I in turn have been blessed by service from others.
