About Me

Being a single Mother is a difficult challenge, but with the Lords help my children and I were able to find peace amongst our trials. Our lives included the Lord and his everlasting gospel. We always had what we needed because we trusted the Lord. Today I am a happy grandmother with 10 beautiful grandchildren who are raised by loving and devoted parents who trust the Lord and find happiness in his gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were active members of the church. However I had to gain my own testimony of the Gospel and the Saviors Atonement in my life. During trials and disappointments I know the Lord is available to me. As I kneel and prayed for strength and help, I can feel his loving arms around me giving me support. I know he lives and answers my prayers.

How I live my faith

I love attending my church meetings. I read my scriptures and pray daily, I also attend the Temple regularly. These blessings in my life keep my faith in the Lord strong and help me to avoid discouragement and loneliness.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Mormons attend their Sunday church meetings in a dedicated chapel. Each city or town is divided into individual parishes, or what Mormon's call a "Ward". Each ward is assigned a chapel or Ward Building where we attend our meetings. Each chapel houses one, two, or three wards who all attend their meetings at consecutive hours on sunday. Smaller congregations are called a "Branch", these branches also have their own meeting place or church building and attend meetings on Sunday. Anyone can attend a church meeting member or non - member alike. The Temple is different than a chapel in that, specific ordinances and ceremonies are performed there. Members who have obeyed God's commandments and are worthy to enter the Temple can serve in the Temple Monday through Saturday. The majority of Mormon Temples are open from early morning till early evening. The first time an individual attends the Temple they will obtaining their own individual ordinance, there after they serve the Lord by performing ordinances for others. Show more Show less

We go to church weekly to worship and take the sacrament, which is like communion. Everyone, no matter their faith, is welcome to come to church services and learn more about the Gospel. The temple is a special place where members make further promises to Heavenly Father that they will keep his commandments. It is also where we are married, or sealed together, and where we can be baptized and sealed for our family members who have died before having those opportunities in life. To go to the temple you need a card called a temple reccomend from your church leaders that confirms that you are currently doing your best to follow Christ and His Gospel as a member of the Church. What is the Law of Chastity?

The power to create children is very sacred. Our Father in Heaven has commanded that the sacred power and privilege of sexual relations be exercised only between a man and woman who are legally married. This is the law of chastity. It means that we must not have sexual relations before we are married, and after we are married we should have sexual relations only with our husband or wife. Keeping the law of chastity brings safety, happiness, peace, and self-respect. It also deepens married love and protects families. Breaking this law is serious. But those who have broken it can gain forgiveness and peace through repentance and obedience. God wants the best for you and for all of His children.
