Denise Avey: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Denise Avey

I am a stay-at-home mom of 4 beautiful children. I love to travel, try new foods and socialize! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 35 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. I am married to my best friend. I LOVE sports, especially college football (Go Utes!) and I am a mother of four children ages 7, 6, 3 and 4 months and I'm tired!

I love being a mom and my children are such a blessing in my life but it's not easy. Some days I definitely think going to work would be much easier, although I'm sure if I worked I would think staying home would be easier. I am learning how to "chill out" and just enjoy the "season" I am in right now. My biggest struggle is comparing myself to others and thinking that I'm the only one who doesn't have it all figured out.

I love to travel and hope someday that will be my hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and grew up going to church every Sunday and living the gospel but it wasn't until I was about 21 that I figured out how much the church really meant to me.

I love knowing the purpose of life. I love that I can turn to my Heavenly Father for anything and know that He hears and answers me.

I'm a Mormon because I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and I am blessed every day for living it's principles.

I'm a Mormon because I find joy in being Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do (and don't do.) I live it by chosing my family over a career and I live it by teaching and rearing my children in righteousness. There are so many things wrong in the world. It could be so easy to look at the world and just feel depressed by it. But there is so much good out there. There are people of all religions, cultures and walks of life that live exceptional lives and make the world a better place. I hope and pray that by my example and righteous living each of my children will become one of those people.

I live my faith by trying every day to be a better example of my Savior Jesus Christ.
