Traci.: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Traci.

I was born and raised in Alaska. I am a stay-at-home mother of 4, am married to my best friend, and love to serve. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for over 13 years and I am a mother to four beautiful children. I like to be involved in their lives so I volunteer in my children's schools which I love. For some "me" time I love to run and exercise, even though it means getting up super early . I enjoy being active outdoors, hiking and camping, and love the time we spend time together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church and I have always felt that the things I was taught from a young age were true. The experiences I've had in my life have helped me to know that I am a daughter of God, that He loves me. I know He is always there for me. The more closely I live the Gospel the happier I am.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

When I was a teenager I felt it was time for me to read the entire Book of Mormon to know for myself that it was true. I was busy as many teenagers are, but I set aside time every night to study and read and that turned out to be the best part of my day. I felt close to my Heavenly Father and I felt His love for me. I felt my worries and stresses decrease. I learned so much about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I read it and prayed about it and by doing these things learned for myself that it is true. I love the Book of Mormon. It changed my life as a teenager and it blesses my life still.

How I live my faith

I love to help others and being a member of the Church has given me many opportunities from serving a mission in Venezuela to teaching young children, from planning activities for large groups to visiting one on one with someone. Currently, I serve in the Church helping young women ages 12-18 to make goals that will help them recognize and develop their talents. I enjoy being around these young women because they are awesome and I want them to see what their Heavenly Father sees in them. They have value, they have worth and potential, and I don't want them to believe otherwise. Through this service and the other opportunities I've had, I feel the Savior's love for others. I know that He wants us to care for and help each other throughout our lives.
