Mario : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Mario

I'm Ecuadorian, a brother, a jokester, and a Mormon

About Me

Well, I was born in Ecuador and I moved to the United States when I was 11 years old along with my mom and my little sister. They are living in Utah, but I am in Illinois for a two year service and soon going to Idaho for college. Some people identify me as the jokester, and a mellow person. I guess that's how I live.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I'm a Mormon is because I can see the purpose of life as we know it, gaining a knowledge that God is indeed alive and still cares for us and speaks to us in this days, and that the gospel is here for us to learn and live it whatever it means for us to become our best selves. I know that God indeed lives and that he knows us and loves us for a long, long time. No wonder why he still speaks today, and that the heavens is still open. He indeed send his only begotten son in the flesh as a perfect example for us and atoned for our sins, and he knows our trials.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

Well, back in high school where I played football there was a teammate who he was the best running back in the state, and a cool person to be around. One time however, he passed away from a drowning accident and it was hard. Not only we've lost a brother in the team, but also an individual that we loved. When I remembered about the Plan of Happiness, it was hard to miss him, but what I've learned is that I can see him again, that death is just one step to another life. I've also learned that the Atonement brought to us that we can have life after death, and that we can live with Our Father in Heaven again after our time on Earth. I hope that he can let my friends and I play tackle football with our fellow teammate again.

How I live my faith

Well, I am usually one of those boys that have a sense of humor, being mellow, and giving somebody a hard time ask my parents if possible. But the reason why is because I learned that our life here on Earth is about growing, laughter, and to have joy. I always learned that I have to live my faith by being optomistic because that is the primary purpose here in the Earth. And because Jesus Christ taught us how to live, we learn to be the best we can be.
