Brandon: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Brandon

I am a computer enthusiast, a lover of good humor, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I like to use computers and electronics as well as building things, all kinds of construction small toys, desks, entertainment centers, you name it. My career goal is to be an architect. I like just about any kind of clean humor and strive to find what's funny in just about everything/make wise cracks at everything. In my school experience I've worked on cars and trucks and have helped my school district build a real house. I also enjoy learning, from other people especially.

I enjoy learning new stories from books, movies, and video games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and never really felt like it was for me. When I began to learn more about the Church as I prepared to serve a mission for two years for the Church I began to feel the Holy Spirit testify to me that this was the true Church of Jesus Christ. Now I can better recognize things that are actually true and inspired by God and things that are simply of man. Being a Mormon has led my life into a sweet, redeeming light-the Light and Love of Jesus Christ.
Because I believe Jesus Christ, I also know that He lives and loves all people. I also know that He stands at the head of this Church. On earth, He has called President Thomas S. Monson to be His mouthpiece and agent. He has also given each of us the gift of prayer, of communication with the Father, in order to learn His will for our individual lives and to receive answers to our prayers.

Personal Stories

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

Making right choices helps us to see the difference between the light and the dark so that we are better able to comprehend the light. Having made any right choice it makes us feel good inside and so we want to keep feeling that good feeling by making more right choices.

How has attending Church services helped you?

There are a few things that I would say are the primary rewards for attending church. First, it gives me a chance to meet up with my fellow members of the Church, or my church family, and learn from them and them from me. Second, it is a time to learn from the Lord, in a place that has been set apart for the work of salvation. Finally, it is a time and place for me to have a heavy recharge for my spiritual batteries that I just can't get anywhere else. This recharge comes from renewing my covenants with the Lord through the taking of the sacrament.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

In one word, service. When families learn to serve each other, when husbands and wives continue to do those special little things for each other, when children counsel with their parents, when parents take the time to listen to their children and truly consider about what they have said to them, and when siblings can work with each other to benefit each other and rely on one another, then the Spirit of God will dwell in that home and in the hearts of those family mambers and with It will come the peace of our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Then, and only then, will the truest harmony exist in a family, a harmony which will enable that family to conquer, endure, and grow from all of the waves and quakes and storms that mortality brings.

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

First, it has blessed me with peace of mind concerning death death does not frioghten me. Second, because God has a plan for all of us, I know that He has a plan for me and so there is a reason for the trials and afflictions that happen to me some are just because I make dumb choices of course. Third, it has allowed me to see how my choices have impact beyond death and that I must be careful.

How I live my faith

I always strive to make sure that prayer is a part of all of the aspects of my life. I pray before I do both my secular and spiritual studies and I always carry my scriptures with me so that my Heavenly Father sees that I'm willing to listen to His counsel in all of my activities not just at church. I'm currently serving a mission to the Lord in New Jersey! I also work to stop at times and listen to hear and feel what my Heavenly Father would have me learn or what He would have me do.
