Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but came to gain my only personal feelings about the Church when I was a teenager. There comes a point when you just have to find out for yourself about family beliefs. If I was still relying on my parent's feelings towards the Church, it wouldn't have been enough to keep me here. But, after prayer and studying myself to know if this was what I was suppose to do, I felt in my heart an overwhelming peace that this was indeed God's Church.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

Knowing that God cares enough to have a plan for my individual life makes me feel loved and known. He is really my Father, and like my earthly father, cares for my well being.

How has attending Church services helped you?

Attending Church each weeks reminds me of how I can grow and become closer to God. I learn things that I can do that will help me be more like Christ. I use this as a time to learn more about Him and to set goals to be more like him the following week.

How I live my faith

I don't believe that faith is something you just believe, but it should effect how you act. I live my faith by showing optimism that life has a purpose and meaning, and that someone out there is aware of me. I voluntarily serve in the Church of my own time, because I know it's what God wants me to do.
