Im 19 and Im a strong individual, with alot going for me. I love hanging out with my friends and learning new things( that are relatively important). I love talking and meeting new people just not the best at making the first move...so please just say hi and ill be your friend. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Cause i know this church is true, through personal revelation and trials in my life. When i turned 18 i left the church to see how the other side of the grass was, when i got there things seemed cool. 8 months later the grass died and i forgot who i was. As i came back to the church i noticed how much better it was than the dead grass. I have been back in the church for 10+ months and its the best decision of my life. I'm filling out papers to serve as a missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and i wouldn't have it any other way, for me my family or my future.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Im soon to be going on a mission so ill tell you why im going. Im going on a mission for the church to be and example for our church of what we are and stand for. I'm going to be a hand of service for the world, and to teach what i know to be true with the world. Ill be and informant, informing the world what and who we are. I'll be a tool in the hands of the lord to help other help themselves with problems and answering questions they might have about anything. I'll try my best to answer to the best of my ability and if i cant answer, ill get someone that can.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best nice guy i can, charity, love, faith, humility and the best things for my future are the goals in my life. The best way to show faith, is to give what you believe in. If you believe in having respect, or love, and all these great things, you must show it unto others or you wont receive it.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is used to grow the church of Christ. Many ask if we pay our leaders with it, and i always so "No we dont". The money is used for buildings, temples, relief fund, missionary funds, helping hands and just service money. Every penny is used to do something great and none of it ends up in our pockets or in anyones pocket for gain. We also restore our church history locations so that people around the world can experience, see, and know what the church has done and will do for betterment of the world.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We admire Joseph Smith and consider him a prophet of God and follow his teachings as we do with Moses and other prophets of old. The thing that makes Joseph Smith unique amongst prophets is that he helped to bring the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth after a period of darkness which is known as the Great Apostacy.
