Hi, I'm Kristy
I'm a wife, mother of three, enjoyer of cooking, avid reader, and ice cream lover. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I was born and raised in Utah. I was baptised into the church when I was eight and have been blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout my life to guide and direct me. I was married in 2003 to my best friend, Brian. Together we have three children, two boys and one girl. I am a college graduate, but have decided the best place of work for me is in the home. I love to read a good book, cook a nutritious and beautiful meal, snuggle with my kids, play games with my family, travel, learn about history and eat ice cream! I love my country and the history and freedom we have here. My greatest blessing and accomplishment in life is being a mother and wife.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have had confirmation from the Holy Ghost that is is the only true church on the earth. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that Joseph Smith saw God and Christ, that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, and that the Book of Mormon is true. I am a Mormon because we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, to guide us and who will never lead us astray. A loving Father in Heaven wants us to have a prophet today. I am a Mormon because abiding by the principles of the gospel keeps me safe and makes me happy.
Personal Stories
What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?
Most importantly I try to make sure my family hears, sees and feels how much I love them. Without love there is not repect, loyalty, devotion, service, trust or happiness. My husband and I try to make family prayer and scripture study a daily occurance. One night a week is set aside to better develope our family relationships and build our testimonies and we call this Family Home Evening. Miracles can happen when you spend uninterupted time with your family. After all, love is really spelled T - I - M - E. Another important part of our family is God. Every good thing we have is from the Lord. Every good thing we will have will come from the Lord.
How I live my faith
I try to live my life in a righteous way that reflects the Savior in all that I do and say. I teach my children how to be good and how to know Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. Prayer is a big part of my life. Reading the scriptures is a big part of my life. Going to church is a big part of my life. I serve other women in my area as one of the Relief Society Leaders (Relief Society is an organization for women). Through my calling to serve them I am able to share my testimony with them and increase my own faith as I help to build theirs.
