About Me

I am college student, a little unsure of what I want to be when I grow up. I love to read, I love all kinds of art, I do some cake decorating, I love to cook, and I am a prolific movie watcher. Right now I am serving a mission (sharing the gospel full time for 1.5 years) in the Anaheim, California and I am SO excited to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

Soy un estudiante en la universidad, y todavia no estoy segura lo que quiero ser cuando soy grande. Me encanta leer, hacer todo tipo de arte, decorar pasteles, cocinary y mencanta ver peliculas. Ahora estoy serviendo una mision (compartiendo el evangelio por un año y medio) en Anaheim, California. Me siento tan animada poder compartir las enseñanzas del Evangelio de Jesucristo con los demas.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both converts and my siblings and I grew up surrounded by the teachings of the church. For me it was really when I started highschool and it was confusing, and difficult that I really began to depend on the things that my parents, and the church teaches to help me know what kind of person I wanted to be. living the teachings of the gospel can bring us joy and has helped me even through many difficult situations to feel the love of God, and his son Jesus Christ. It always just made sense that they existed and if that was true I wanted to know for myself how I could follow them. To know what I should do, to be a better person. So I prayed about the things my parents and the Church teaches the things I was living and felt peace. The peace to know that despite mistakes I can find forgiveness be better every day.

Mis padres se convertieron y mis hermanos y yo crecimos con las enseñanzas de la Iglesia. Pero en mi caso era cuando estaba estudiando en el Highschool cuando estaba confundida y era el tiempo bien dificil por mi cuando empeze a depender en las cosas que mis padres, y la iglesia me habian enseñado para saber que tipo de persona quieria ser. Cuando vivimos las enseñanzas del Evangelio de Jesucristo semtimos gozo y eso me ha ayudado a superar muchas situaciones bien dificlices y poder sentir el amor de Dios, y su Hijo Jesucristo en mi vida. Siempre he sentido que existian y si eso fue verdad yo quieria aprender como seguilrle. Entonces ore sobre las cosas que habia aprendido y que ponia en practica en mi vida y senti una paz tan enorme. La paz de saber que apesar de errores que podia recibir perdon y ser mejor cada dia.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Well I decided to go on a mission because the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ answers all of our most heartfelt questions. What is the purpose of my life ? Who is God and does he really know me? What happens to us after death? Why do bad things happen to good people? How can I be Happy? the gospel answers all of those questions. Life is hard but the teachings of Jesus Christ helps us to have peace in spite of that. Learning about and knowing God gives our life purpose and direction. Knowing all of those things I had to share what I know with those who don't. So we like the Apostles in response to the Lords command go out and teach others about Christ, and how to build faith in him through the Book of Mormon.

Yo decidi servir una mision por que la plenitud del Evangelio de Jesucristo es la respuesta a toda las preguntas mas profundas en nuestras vidas. Cual es el proposito de mi vida? Quien es Dios y realmente me conoce a mi? Que es lo que nos pasa despues de la muerte? Por que pasan cosas malas a gente buena? Como puedo ser feliz? el Evangelio es la respuesta a todo nuestras preguntas ? La vida puede ser dificil pero al aprender de Dios y llegar a conocerle nos da proposito a nuestras vidas. A saber todo estas cosas tenia que salir y compartir lo que sabia con los que no sabian. Entonces nosotros como los Apostoles en respuesta a mandamiento del Señor salimos y enseñamos y compartimos en cuanto a Cristo y ayudamos a personas a aumentar su fe en Cristo mediante el Libro de Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by being actively involved in Church meetings every week. I am living my faith right now by sharing it I left my home and family for 18 months to go to another place and help the people there to learn about God, and the restored gospel of his son Jesus Christ and how that can bless them. I try every day to be a good example to not be ashamed to let others know that I am Christian and that in countless small ways every day I am trying to be more like my savior I really think WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? as I live my life.

Yo vivo my fe cada dia participando en las reuñiones de la Iglesia cada semana. Ahora estoy viviendo mi fe por medio de compartirlo con los demas. Me fui lejos de mi casa y familia por 18 meses para ir y ayudar a las personas en California aprender de Dios, El plan que el tiene por sus hijos, y como el restauro el Evangelio de su hijo Jesucristo y como esto puede bendecir las vidas de cada persona. cada dia intento lo mejor ser un buen ejemplo y no ser timida compartir con los demas que soy Cristiana y en miles de maneras pequeñas sigo el ejemplo del Señor. y pienso QUE HARIA JESUCRISTO? mientras tomo deciciones.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision is a vision that happened to a 14 year old boy named Joseph Smith in the year 1820 in which he saw God the Eternal Father, and his Son Jesus Christ in response to a prayer. Joseph Smith had a question about which church was true. At the time and place where he lived there was a lot of religious contention between the different religions. This confusion caused Joseph Smith to wonder which of them was right and how he could know. He decided eventually to pray and ask God. in response to his faith filled prayer Joseph recieved a vision of God and Jesus Christ and they told him not to join any of the churches, that the churches lacked the authority and power of God and the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and they called him to be a Prophet to restore those things

La Primera Vision refiera a una vision que experimento un joven de 14 años llamado Jose Smith en el año
1820 cuando vio a Dios el Padre Eterno, y su hijo Jesucristo. todo como una respuesta de una oracion. Jose Smith tenia una pregunta en cuanto a cual iglesia era verdadera. Por que en la region donde vivia en aquel tiempo habia mucha contencion religiosa entra todas las religiones diferentes. Eventualmente Jose decidio orar y preguntar a Dios. En respuesta a su oracion tuvo una Vision en que le aparecio Dios y Jesucristo y le Dijeron que no deberia unir a ninguna iglesia por que todos faltaban la autoridad de Dios y la plenitud de su evangelio y le llamaron a ser una Profeta.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are like any other good woman who is trying her best to raise a family in love and trying to leave the world a little better for future generations.

Mormons do believe in equality of men and women. We believe husband and wives are to work side by side, not one dominating over another. But equality does not mean being exactly the same. We believe that God gave men and women distinct and different roles/assignments to fulfill. Men are primarily responsible for the physical welfare of their families while women are to nurture and care for their families. Although the roles are different each one is important and critical.
