About Me

I work at Walt Disney World. I am currently planning my wedding for this summer to my fiancée in the Orlando, FL temple. I spend any free time I have sewing, currently my wedding dress, and other dresses for my wedding, but I love to make anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member, but I've decided on my own that this church is the church I want to be a part of. I am constantly reminded of my Heavenly Father's love for me in everything around me. I know that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins to make it possible for us to return to live with Him again someday. I have gained a strong testimony that we can live with our families again after we have died eternally. This knowledge brings great happiness to me as the oldest of 6 kids, and as I prepare to marry the man I love in the temple this summer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do, in how I dress, what activities I participate in, and how I act. At church, I am a teacher. I teach the lessons and learn more about the gospel as I teach what is in the manual, and listen to the examples and answers that the other girls give.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are essential to Heavenly Father's plan for our happiness. He is our eternal father, and he wants us to have the same happiness he has, because of his eternal family, so as we grow our family, and live worthy to receive his blessings, we can have eternal happy families as he does. Families are important to ensure our happiness as each member of the family works together to ensure each others' needs are met and to make each other happy.

After I joined the Mormon Church I learned about the importance of families. Not long after that I realized that if I was going to follow this teaching I needed to tell my father that I loved him. That was very difficult for me since my dad and I argued so much. I spent the better part of 2 weeks trying to determine how I could do this. When the time came I found that the words came more easily than I had thought. From that point to the time he died, about 22 years later, he and I had an entirely different relationship. We were now friends. And I found how much I regretted all our arguments while growing up. And now I find that I miss him and more fully understand how important our families are.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and we follow His teachings. We believe He is essential for salvation.
