Hi, I'm Kerry
I am a husband and a father, a son and a brother, a friend and a teacher and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I grew up on a small farm in Utah. I entered the teaching profession and as a result have moved my family several times. We now live in the beautiful state of Alaska. I gained a love for the land as a boy working with my father on the farm. I still love to plant a garden and watch the seeds sprout and grow into productive plants. I enjoy working with my hand to build and make things. It seems like we always have a project going. My wife and I have five fantastic children and have started the wonderful blessing of being grandparents. Life only gets better as I move forward setting goals and making efforts to become a better person.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because of the feelings I enjoy when I live the teachings of the church. I know what is taught by our leaders brings joy and happiness and that is what this life is all about...to experience joy.
Personal Stories
How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?
My daily study of the Book of Mormon provides spiritual strength. As I read of the every day challenges faced by the people in the Book of Mormon and how their faith and obedience brought the Lord's choices blessings, I take courage in my own struggles. I know that when I am obedient I will receive every blessing my Heavenly Father has to offer me. Reading the Book of Mormon give me the hope i need in this life and the knowledge of forever family when I have passed the tests of this mortal experience.
How I live my faith
I live my faith doing what I can to help others. I spend as much time as possible with my family playing games, working together, and just enjoying each others company.
