Debi: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Debi

I’m a mother of 5 kids and 4 grandkids and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a mother of 5 kids. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree and worked in the schools as an office clerk. I now teach piano, and work in my garden trying to grow raspberries and strawberries, I do much better with them and I don’t do so good with vegetables. I love to camp and being outdoors, Hiking and swimming is a favorite pass time and when the weather is warm I love going to the lake and swimming. I enjoy doing Family History and Indexing, also taking pictures and creating family calendars and movies. I also enjoy working on the computer whether it is keeping a journal, editing photos or videos or making my own videos.
When I can I love to travel and will jump at every change to go some place new and adventurous.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a mormon because I know that the principles taught in the church are true and they have helped me throughout my life to be a better me. Some may say that the church is too strict but it is not. All laws are there for our protection. Can you imagine driving without any laws to obey. What a disaster it would be. We all have choices and it is up to you to make your own choices.. Just be prepared to live by them. I have felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost in my every day life in small and major decisions. It is true and that conviction and testimony helps me through my everyday life. I have a purpose!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all that I do. I try to apply the principles of the gospel in everyday living and through the example that I hope I can be for others. I am not perfect. No one in the church professes to be perfect. In fact we are far from it.
I worked at a school and one of the teachers commented to me that she always looked forward to having some mormons in her class because she knew that they were honest and trustworthy.
Working with the youth at our church has been a positive building experience for me and has helped me to be a better example for them knowing that they watch how I act, and talk to others.
