Brooke: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Brooke

I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hubby is in School full time and I work half time in my own cleaning/organizing business. I am a mother of two beautiful Children, a son (2) and a daughter (10 mo). I am social, gregarious, hard working, fun loving, family oriented, and I adore loving and serving others!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of how it makes me feel. My heart sings when I listen to the prophets and leaders. I love hearing other's testimony of Christ. I love having a ward family and learning from so many talented and different people. I believe in Jesus Christ, he is my savior and my brother. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and care for me every day. I am thankful for my many blessings. I have a testimony of tithing - paying my tithing has blessed my little family more than I could express. I love serving with the youth of the church as a Valiant Girl Leader. I love hearing their testimonies and enjoying their perspective on life. I LOVE this gospel and I believe it TRULY brings happiness.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

We had three deaths in our Family in 2009. My Grandpa, My cousin, and My uncle - all on my mother's side of the family. We were so sad, devestated, heart broken, and lost. My Grandpa's death was sad, but expected as a part of life. My cousin took his own life 2 weeks after his death at the age of 23. He suffered from severe anxiety and depression that was in the process of being treated, but it wasn't enough. My uncle a month later died from Alcoholism. We also think it was a suicide. My family went through every emotion possible and watching my mother loose her Dad, nephew, and brother in sucha short period of time was very painful. We got very good at funerals and we became so close as a family unit. I have learned that family is the MOST IMPORTANT thing we have on this earth. If everything else falls away family is the only thing left. Our family relationships will come with us after we die. Treasure your family, build strong relationships and trust, and you'll always have a safety net when you fall.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving others. Nothing breaks down walls more than loving service to another person. I am a teacher for the 8-9 year old girls and I LOVE it. I love how much those girls look up to me and it helps me to remember what I should be doing in life. I love their sweet hugs and excited faces when they see me. I enjoy hanging out in Primary, the little ones are still so close to the Savior and their spirits are so sweet and pure! I love to sing Primary songs, they are simple, but true words. I love Visiting Teaching - a web of women who love and serve eachother everyday. When a trial or a joyful things happens they are all waiting with encouragement, assistance, love, and/or excitement. I live my faith by example and try to let my light shine daily.
