Bruce: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Bruce

I grew up in Daytona Beach and am a social worker who works with the blind and visually impaired veterans.

About Me

I have been married for over 30 years, have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
I enjoy reading, watching sports, biking, traveling to national and state parks.
Going to the beach and the fresh water springs in Florida are great too!!

Why I am a Mormon

I have received a spiritual witness that Jesus is the Christ and that he has restored his gospel on the earth in preparation for his second coming through the prophet Joseph Smith.

The understanding of where I came from, why I am here and where I will go when this life ends has helped me live a life with purpose and meaning.

Knowing that my family can be eternal has allowed me to put things in perspective when facing the challenges that come into everyone's life.

The standards set forth by living prophets have been a source of blessing and safety for me and my family.

This is why after over 54 years I am and continue to be a Mormon!!

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

To help bring the good news of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to all of His children.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

The golden rule of treating others as you would want to be treated has always been a guiding principle for me to live my life by.

How I live my faith

I attend weekly meetings at church and serve in a leadership position that allows me to meet with members of 12 congregations throughout north central Florida.

As a home teacher I visit members of our congregation on at least a monthly basis.

We hold a family home evening weekly and read scriptures on a regular basis.

We attend the Orlando Florida Temple and attend weekly sacrament and other Sunday meetings.
