Dyany: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Dyany

I'm a student, a housewife, an aspiring writer, I suffer from chronic depression. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and am working on another bachelor's in writing. I cannot have children and I suffer from depression. But my life is very blessed through the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Mormons, which is how I was introduced to the church. But I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I've read the Book of Mormon, I've tried its principles, I've prayed about it and I know it's true. I have a place to belong, even though I can't have kids, and I have a reason to be happy even though my brain isn't wired right and it tells me I should be sad. The gospel helps me overcome my depression and gives me a reason to keep going.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

Everyone is important to the Lord. EVERYONE. Including people who have died without the gospel. We do genealogy to find our ancestors, we do family history to find out who they really are, and we do temple work so they can have the opportunity to have the fullness of the gospel and be with their families (including us) forever. My name comes from my genealogy, England around the 1600s, and I feel a closeness to my ancestors because of the work that has been done. It's nice to know where you come from.

How I live my faith

I teach older nursery (2-3 year olds) in my ward and I love it! It's amazing to see how much the children love the Lord and how much they grow and learn in the year they are in my class.
