Why I am a Mormon
At a very difficult time in my life I was enveloped with such great love and service from strangers who didn't know me or my family. They took me and my family under their wings with no questions; just total acceptance. The example of such Christ like love so impressed me; I knew I had to learn more about these great people and what caused them to perfom such selfless acts of kindness.
So, I got to know them through learning about the Church from young missionaries. Here I am 14 years later, still learning about my Father in Heaven, and my brother Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to be a member of this great Church.
Now it's my turn to be of service to my brothers and sisters around the world. Why do we do this? Because God lives! Because we know and understand why we are here on this earth living the life we do. Because we know what the next step is. Because we love you, and because we are brothers and sisters and that's what family does for each other. We help each other through the good, bad, and sad times.
How I live my faith
I teach folks in our church how to research their family history through the great resources we have. It is truly inspiring to know that families can be together forever and we have a responsibility to seek out those in our family in past generations and bring them into this wonderful gospel too! I bare personal testimony the doors of heaven will open when it's time to find these precious family members. God will make the path known to you, and you will come to know God through this great resource. He loves all His children the same.
I live my faith daily in my work, at home and when I am traveling. Kindness is a great door opener no matter where you go. People recognize the light of Christ when they see it, and many of them don't even realize this is why they speak to me. I have seen the doors open to me wherever I go and this is a great witness to me of the power of God's love!
