Hi, I'm Ranee`
I'm a mom, a wife, and a writer. And I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm one of those typical Mormon moms...sort of. It's true. I stay at home with my two amazing, but sometimes crazy little boys. I blog. And even scrapbook, but I do it on Adobe Photoshop because I hate dragging out all my traditional scrapbook stuff!
I'm also an aspiring writer. I'm working on getting my first book published. I dream of someday getting my masters in English or History--I change my mind daily.
I love staying at home--even on the days I'm pretty sure I want to go back to work--and I know I'm lucky I love it so much when so many other moms struggle.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up a Mormon, so I don't exactly have a 'conversion' story. My 'conversion' has been little by little, day by day. Each day brings a new experience that strengthens my testimony. By looking around me, I see how my life is different because I have the teachings of the gospel to guide me. My husband and I work daily on our marriage because we have been sealed in the temple and know we will be together forever. We are blessed to hear living prophets speak, and know that by following their words we will be happy. I am Mormon because I have faith that Jesus is my Savior. I have felt his love and know that he carries me a little bit along each day. Sometimes he lightens my load. Sometimes he bears it all for me. Sometimes he makes me stronger so I can carry it.
Personal Stories
How has the Holy Ghost helped you?
I feel the comfort and guidance from the Holy Ghost every day. Being a mom is not easy! Sometimes my boys don't understand that I tell them 'no' to help them! Many times I get frustrated. On the days when I listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I am able to see him guiding me through the day. It may seem like a little thing, but raising children is important to Heavenly Father and it makes sense to me that He gives me help.
How I live my faith
In a blessing I received as a teenager, the Lord said I would receive "calls of singular importance." I consider being a mother exactly that. I live my faith by staying at home with my boys and trying to teach them the best I can.
I also serve as the Primay Music leader teaching music to the young children. I love this calling!
