Alissa: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Alissa

I enjoy living in Florida. I love being a wife and mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Missouri on a dairy farm and I now live in Florida with my husband and three children. I have a step-daughter that lives in New York. I am a breastfeeding counselor. I was baptized when I was eleven, but stopped going to church during my teenage and college years to find I didn't know who I was. I have since learned who I am and what my purpose in this life is and I am happy!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young adult, I was very unhappy. I wanted to be happy and make good choices and be a good person for my family and community. I decided to pray to Heavenly Father to ask what I should do. I then realized I did not know how to pray. So I wept and pleaded for help. I then felt I should go back to church were I hadn't been since a child. On that Sabbath Sunday three talks were given on prayer. The first was on how and when we should pray. The second on what to pray for. And the third was on how pray is essential in this life. Heavenly Father had listened to my pleading and sent help. And it is through prayer that I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church Jesus established when he lived.

How I live my faith

By trying to do more of what I know is right and become better.
