Calli: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Calli

I'm a 20 year girl from Omaha, Nebraska who enjoys Photography and Music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20. I am in between Universities. I'm studying to become a Photographer. I love music and everything that has to do with it. I play the flute and piano and I sing as often as I can. I hope to become a piano teacher someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the LDS church my entire life, but was not truly converted until about a year ago. I grew learning all of the principles and was a pretty good kid. As soon as I hit high school, I started to make some not so great choices. I slowly started to realize that I was not happy. I started praying and really studying my scriptures. The more I studied, that happier I became. I could feel the love that my savior had for me. I am now a very faithful member and love everything about the Gospel. I know that I am blessed because I have the Gospel in my life. I would not be in such a good place if it weren't for my church friends and family. I know that I am much happier and better off when I am following the Gospel principles. I love my Heavenly Father and I know that he loves me too. I can feel his love throughout the day. I love this Gospel with all of my heart.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

We go on missions so that we can share our happiness and knowledge with everyone. We go to places that may not have the Gospel yet. We want to share what we have with anyone and everyone. Why would we want to keep our happiness to ourselves? We want to let everyone know what we believe and give them a chance to accept it for themselves.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday for three hours and I absolutely love it. I feel happy when I am there. My ward is like my family, I love each and every person there. I am a teacher. I teach the women once a month for about an hour. I spend at least a week preparing my lesson. This experience has taught me so much. I also attend institute classes every Tuesday night. We study The Pearl of Great Price. I can feel the spirit so strongly when I attend. I also play volleyball with my ward every Thursday night. We get together to have clean fun. It's so much fun! Also, on Monday nights I attend Family Home Evening with my ward. We have a short lesson and then have an activity. The activities change from week to week. I love going to all of our ward activities. I feel like I belong when I'm with them.
