Hi, I'm Kelly
I'm a daughter. I'm an artist. I love the outdoors & I'm a Mormon.
About Me
Born in Texas. Live in Utah. Love the outdoors, hiking, camping. Sports like soccer, basketball, football. Love the scriptures, it seems to be the only books I will read and finish. Love anything to do with art. I know how to weld, carpentry, paint, sculpt. I really want to take glass blowing lessons and pottery as well! I'm fascinated by the world and the beauty all about us, if only we would take the time to look at it.
Why I am a Mormon
Because there are no missing puzzle pieces in this religion. It's a complete and restored painting.
I have a testimony of this true and living gospel in my life. I wouldn't be complete without it. I know that Joseph Smith was the Prophet chosen by God to restore this church here on the earth again. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet who guilds this church today and is the mouth piece for the Lord today. I know that Jesus is the only begotten son of our Heavenly Father who has flesh and bone. Jesus paid the price of our sins by pain of death on the cross. I know he conquered death and is a living person with flesh and bone. I know these things are true. I know that the Book of Mormon to be a second testament of Jesus Christ and his teachings. It is also a testament to the Bible. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon and follow the promptings to pray that it is true, you will find that witness that it is true. I believe that we are all here today for a reason and part of the reason is to learn God's plan for us.
Personal Stories
Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, call by God to restore the gospel! Joseph Smith has set a great example to me and has helped me draw closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He restored the keys of the priesthood (which is the power to act in God's name). I know that he translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. I'm grateful for his example and know that because of him, I am a better person.
How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
The Plan of Salvation helps us have a purpose. When I was about 12 yrs old, I lost a very important person who helped raise me, and that was my Grandpa. After his death I felt lost, but mostly confused as to why he wouldn't be there for the rest of my life. As I kept learning of what the plan of Salvation was, my confusion turned into understanding and I received a calming feeling that he was still there for me and would be for the rest of my life. I soon spent a lot more time with my Grandma and came to see her as a great source of love. Our relationship became stronger and we realized that we had a lot in common with as to how we look at things. This last year she pasted away. She is now with my Grandpa and they will be there always when I need them for encouragement and strength. I thank both of them for helping me understand the importance of the Plan that our Heavenly Father has for us and how it's only through our Savior, Jesus Christ that we can live with our families once again, forever. I bear my testimony that this is true!
How I live my faith
I live my faith by continuing to serve others and trusting in our Heavenly Father's plan for us. I serve others all arounds me and share the gospel daily. I love seeing how my faith in Christ can help others build there faith in Christ.
